The Faculty of Communication and Culture's Student for a Day 2008 is complete.  Thank you to the 34 students who participated over the course of the week.  There will be other Student for a Day opportunities in 2009.  If you are interested in participating please contact Dr. Dawn Johnston.

The Faculty of Communication and Culture has a Director of Students, a full-time faculty member whose job is to help you make the most of your experience as a student in C&C.  If you have questions about academic mentoring, student success skills, extra-curricular involvement, transition from high school to university, or what life will be like as a Communication and Culture student, Dr. Dawn Johnston can help you out.

What is Student for a Day?

In a program unique to the University of Calgary, the Faculty of Communication and Culture invites interested prospective students to come to campus and experience first-hand what our programs are all about. You can learn, have fun, and start thinking differently about our complex and ever-changing world!

What will I do as a Student for a Day?

  • attend an introductory Communication and Culture class
  • meet professors and current students
  • ask questions
  • learn about careers related to Communication and Culture degree programs
  • experience university life from a student's perspective
  • get a taste of the diverse programs the Faculty of Communication and Culture offers!
